Who we are

Vizhound (“we”) is a feedback tool for prototypes, operated from the United Kingdom. We are the data controller for the personal data described on this page. For anything privacy-related, write to hello@vizhound.com.

What we collect, and why

Your reviews. The comments you write, the pages you review, sketches, and optional screen grabs of the element a comment points at. They live in your browser first and sync to our database so your reviews survive a device change. Legal basis: performing the service you asked for.

Your email address — only if you create an account. We use it to sign you in with a one-time code (no passwords) and to tie your reviews to you. If you sign in with Google, we also receive your name and profile photo from Google. Guests give us nothing. Legal basis: performing the service.

Payment details — never held by us. Upgrades are processed by Lemon Squeezy, our merchant of record. Your card details go directly to them; we only learn which plan your account is on.

Usage analytics. Page views and feature usage via Vercel Analytics (cookieless) and Google Analytics, to understand what's working. We do not sell this data, use it for advertising, or build profiles of you. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in improving the product.

Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in (set by our sign-in provider, Supabase), and Google Analytics cookies to measure visits. No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Your browser's settings let you block or clear cookies at any time; the product keeps working without the analytics ones.

Where your data lives

Our database and sign-in run on Supabase, hosted in the EU (Ireland). The site runs on Vercel. Sign-in emails are delivered by our email provider. Payments run through Lemon Squeezy. Each of these providers processes data on our behalf under their own data-processing agreements; some (such as Google) may process data outside the UK/EU under standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep it

Your reviews and account data stay as long as your account exists. Delete a comment or review and it's removed from our database, not just hidden. Close your account and we delete everything attached to it within 30 days, except records we're legally required to keep (like billing history).

Your rights

Under UK and EU data-protection law you can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, or hand it over in a portable format. Email hello@vizhound.com and we'll act on it — no forms, no fee. If you're unhappy with how we handle it, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) or your local authority.

Children

Vizhound is a professional tool and isn't directed at children under 16.

Changes

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we'll say so on this page and update the date at the top. We won't quietly start doing something this page says we don't do.
