BugHerd vs Marker.io vs Vizhound: feedback tools compared

They all let you point at a web page and say what is wrong. They differ in what you have to install, and in where the feedback goes next.

If you are choosing a website feedback tool, you will meet the same few names. We make one of them, so read this knowing that. We have tried to be fair, and we say plainly where the others are the better pick. Features and prices change, so check each tool's own site before you decide.

BugHerd

BugHerd has been around a long time and it shows in the workflow. Clients click on the site and leave a note, and each note becomes a task your team moves across a board. It is a good fit for an agency with many client sites and a steady stream of change requests.

Pick it when you manage feedback as tasks over weeks, with several people on your side. It is more than you need for a quick review of a prototype.

Marker.io

Marker.io is built around bug reports. A tester marks up a screenshot, and the report lands in the issue tracker your developers already use, with the technical details attached. It is strong for QA on a product that is already in development.

Pick it when the people fixing things live in an issue tracker and want every report to arrive there.

Vercel comments

If your project deploys on Vercel, preview deployments come with comments built in. Teammates can leave notes right on the preview, in threads. There is nothing extra to install, which is the best thing about it.

Pick it when your whole team is already on Vercel. It only works on Vercel previews, so it won't help with a Lovable or Replit link.

Vizhound

Vizhound is ours. It is made for the moment after an AI tool has built something and before you ask it to fix things. You paste any public link. You click an element and write a note. Each note keeps the element, its styles and a screen grab.

The difference is the output. Instead of a board or a ticket, you get one prompt you can paste into Claude, Cursor, v0 or Lovable, written so the AI can act on it. You can also copy a task list or download a report with screen grabs.

Where we are not the right pick: we don't have a task board, and we don't push issues into a tracker for you. If your team needs that, BugHerd or Marker.io will suit you better.

How to choose

  • Fixing with an AI tool, and want the feedback as a prompt? Vizhound.
  • Running client projects with tasks and deadlines? BugHerd.
  • Reporting bugs into an issue tracker? Marker.io.
  • Everyone on Vercel already? Start with Vercel comments.
A good test: ask where the feedback needs to be in ten minutes. In a tracker, on a board, or in the chat box of an AI tool. Choose the tool that puts it there.

Yes. Any tool that works from a link will do. Vizhound is built for that case and turns the notes into a prompt for the AI.
